Used to reduce the acidity in wines and ciders, it can also be used in brewing beers.
Wines such as a Rhubarb will need precipitated chalk due to the high acidity of the rhubarb
Typical dosage: 1g per gallon to reduce acidity (increase pH) by 1.5 ppt.
Note when adding, CO2 gas will be produced.
Leave in a cold place to settle and syphon off any sediment.
