Why Vigo Presses?
What we do
An attractive, ornamental, working miniature Pot Still, the type used for centuries for the distillation of essences and spirits.
Free delivery on this item - geographical restrictions & conditions apply, see Delivery
The copper pot still should be set up according to the instructions. The still pot containing the raw material is heated gently by the burner and the distilled product will drip out of the condenser outlet and into your chosen vessel. The distillation process will take around an hour. We must point out that while it is perfectly legal to possess a still, an Excise licence is required for the distillation of alcohol in the United Kingdom. We recommend that export customers check local regulations before buying.
PLEASE NOTE
It is illegal to manufacture spirits in the UK without a distillers licence which is required under the provisions of section 12 of the Alcoholic Liquor Duties Act 1979 and this includes manufacture for "own / domestic use".
Public Notice 39 - "Spirits production in the UK" dated April 2010 provides further information about HM Revenue & Customs' requirements.
Simply wash the still pot and condenser in warm, soapy water and rinse with fresh water.
