BLACK FRIDAY SALE - SAVE £30 (RRP £175)

WHAT YOU GET: A Vigo Presses analogue pasteuriser with 27 litres of capacity. The pasteuriser has an 1800W heater, a grid to sit bottles, bags and jars on and adjustable countdown and temperature dials. We also include a thermometer for manual measuring.

ESSENTIAL FOR JUICE AND CIDER MAKING: In order to protect and preserve the liquid so it can be kept ready for consumption. Pasteurising also makes sure the liquid tastes as good as the day it was blended for as long as it’s kept! The Vigo Presses Pasteuriser comes with adjustable countdown and temperature dials, so you can precisely input the amount of time and temperature required and allow the machine to take care of the rest!

LARGE CAPACITY: At 27 litres, the Vigo Presses pasteuriser is more than capable of handling the volume of most homebrewing operations. It will comfortably hold 13 X 750ml bottles, 2 X 5 litre bags, 1 X 10 litre bag or 14 X 1 litre preserving jars.

WORKS FOR COOKING AND HEATING: The pasteuriser will also work for heating or cooking. Why not use it to hold mulled wine or cider for a winter celebration or event? The unit comes with a boil dry protection mechanism too, so it’s protected against overheating and failure if the liquid level in it gets too low. The handy outlet tap allows liquid to be drained or decanted with ease.

When the pasteuriser reaches your specified temperature a beeping sound will alert you that the pasteuriser is ready. At this point you simply need to set the timer and leave the pasteuriser to work its magic (This is differs from our Deluxe version which commences timer automatically).

Supplied with thermometer for manual temperature reading.

For bottle or preserving jar pasteurisation:

Fill the bottles or preserving jars to within 2.5cm / 1" of the top with clean, prepared juice or food (peas and beans keep longer if blanched first). Ensure that the bottle caps or rings of the jars are clean and dry. Fit the rubber seal and clip fasten the lids. Place the bottles or jars on the rack that sits on the base of the tank protecting them from direct heat. Jars can be stacked one on top of another. Fill the tank with water to within 2.5cm / 1" of the top bottle/jars. Place the lid on the appliance.

  • Set the temperature gauge and put central alarm switch to the 'on' position
  • Put the timer to 'On Continue' setting
  • The cooker / pasteuriser will then heat to the set temperature (red light will be on when heating)
  • When the pasteuriser reaches your specified temperature a beeping sound will be heard
  • When beeping set the timer to the required length of time for full and accurate sterilisation. Turn alarm switch to 'off'.
  • When timer reaches zero a buzzer will sound and pasteurisation is complete

For bag-in-box pasteurisation using a Filling Support Stand:

Place the bag collar into the support stand and fill the bag allowing some room for expansion of the juice to be heated. Exclude - air before the tap is pushed part-way into the collar of the bag. Place 2 x 5 litre bags or 1 x 10 litre bag onto the pasteuriser rack and set the thermostat. When the water temperature reached the set level there may be more air in the bags - remove the bags, place the bag collar in the Filling Support Stand, take out the tap, expel the air and then drive the tap fully home. Return the bag to the pasteuriser, set the temperature, place the lid on the appliance and leave for the full pasteurisation time. Allow the bags to cool before packing into the cardboard box. Cooking settings and timings for individual drinks or foods are supplied with the machine.

(Note: The 20 litre bag is not suitable for use in this pasteuriser)
