Hydraulic Fruit Press Instructions
Pressing made easy, pump the handle and the ram descends and presses the racks to extract the juice. We recommend using an electric Mill (available separately), mill the apples. Swing the hinged cross beam off the press. Place an acacia rack on the juice tray and position the former on the rack. Drape a cloth over the former and fill the cloth with crushed apples (2" deep). Fold the edges of the cloth into the centre. Remove the former and place an acacia rack on top of the cloth, and repeat this process until you have several layers - known as a 'cheese'. There is no need to place an acacia rack on top of the final cheese.
Swing and fix the hinged cross beam back in place and pump the yellow handle to make the ram descend and press the racks. The thin layers of pomace allow the juice to flow laterally to give a quick and high yield of juice. 2 buckets of at least 27.5 litre capacity will be needed to catch the juice.
Easy to clean, simply hose down with fresh water after use and dry with a clean cloth. Lubricate the non-food contact metal parts with food grade grease; this will also inhibit corrosion of these parts. Store in a clean, dry place.
