Hobby Fruit Crusher - 91102

WHAT YOU GET: A fruit crusher from our popular and affordable hobby range. This one will take a load of up to 7kg of fruit at a time. The crusher is perfect for pulping fruit before pressing. Why is this so important? Because the fruit’s skin is broken when pulped, massively increasing the yield of juice. This means it pairs perfectly with one of our apple presses so you can really make the most of your fruit.

ROBUST QUALITY: Without breaking the bank. We designed our hobby range with a simple goal in mind: to lower the barrier of entry for cider making to make it affordable and accessible for anybody. With our hobby crusher, you can quickly and easily pulp your fruit ready for pressing. Combine this with one of our hobby presses and you have a complete juicing setup to Vigo’s high standards at a much more affordable price. Once you fall in love with fruit, why not check out our handmade cast iron range of presses and crushers?

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR FRUIT: When juicing fruit, the preparation is vital to get the most out of it. By using one of our crushers to pulp your fruit you’re ensuring you do just that. The blades are engineered specifically to pulp the fruit to yield as much juice as possible. You can get up to 80% of the weight you put in as fruit back as delicious fresh juice, meaning you waste barely anything!

EFFICIENT AND EASY TO USE: The steel blades will make short work of any fruit you put into it! The crusher is operated by a simple steel crank handle, so just load it with fruit (up to 7kg at a time), turn the crank and watch as the blades cut up the fruit and the rollers crush it into pulp. It really is as simple as that!

40 YEARS OF EXPERTISE: The Vigo story is 40 years in the making and still counting! With such a wealth of experience in pressing, juicing and cider making you can trust that we’ll only ever put our name to a quality product. Our equipment is often described as the standard to which all others must be held, such is its pedigree. What’s more, all our pressing and juicing equipment is dispatched from our Devon factory right in the heart of cider country!

Apples or pears dropped into the hopper fall onto the pins, are torn apart and then crushed by the rollers when the handle is turned.

  • Place the crusher over a suitable container to collect the pulp. (A large bucket will work, however we recommend either our 12, 20 or 36 litre presses as the crusher fits perfectly over the baskets of these). *Load the hopper with fruit. This can be whole or chopped into halves, quarters or otherwise. The blades will crush whole apples effectively, though it can be helpful to cut some fruits prior to crushing. *Turn the crank handle and watch as the machine gets to work crushing your fruit into pulp ready for juicing! The freshly pulped fruit will emerge from the bottom of the crusher and fall into whichever vestibule you've placed underneath. *Repeat the above steps until you have processed all your fruit. *Once finished, simply hose down with fresh water to remove any excess pulp caught in the blades and allow to dry. For tougher dirt, warm soapy water can be used, just make sure to rinse through with fresh water afterwards!

Easy to clean, simply hose down with fresh water after use.
